WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the General Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the organisation of the warehouse area ensuring the safe and efficient storage and physical movement of material and accurate recording of stock levels and movements on the company’s ERP.

-          Run the warehouse to ensure the efficient management of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring communication, ERP transactions and paperwork are accurately completed for all movements of stock

-          Be the point of contact between Novelplast and haulage partners to arrange collection of outgoing containers and communicate status of incoming containers

-          Complete weekly stock counts of raw materials and update information on ERP system accordingly

-          Prepare data and issue daily email of container status in the yard to defined distribution list

-          Act as line manager to warehouse personnel, ensuring training needs are addressed and performance related issued dealt with in agreement with HR 

-          Ensure control and communication of any changes within the warehouse

-          Identify opportunities for improved organisation within the warehouse and implement in agreement with Operations Manager

-          Organise resources to ensure that containers are unloaded in a time efficient and safe manner

-          Ensure accurate scanning of all incoming goods, make corrections as needed and ensure the team are fully competent on completing ERP transactions

-          Ensure raw materials are stored in accurate locations

-          Ensure all paperwork is accurately completed and records are promptly updated

-          Escalate any concerns with the quality of raw materials upon receipt to the plant

-          Work closely with finance, supply chain colleagues and production to ensure the effective management of materials

-          Be a champion for health and safety in the plant

-          Operate Counterbalance Forklift and clamp trucks in a safe manner

-          Complete periodic safety checks on warehouse equipment, including FLT, scales and scanners

-          Ensure effective communications between production and warehouse personnel

-          Set the standard of housekeeping in the warehouse area and ensure the team maintain these levels

Ideally the successful candidate should:

-          Have experience of working in a busy warehouse in a manufacturing environment is a distinct advantage

-          Be Experienced working with ERP systems (preferably Netsuite)

-          Be experienced in people management

-          Be a self starter with a proven ability to work on own initiative and work to tight deadlines

-          Have the ability to take ownership, be proactive and be results orientated

-          Hold a valid counterbalance forklift license

-          Be an excellent communicator and have strong interpersonal skills

-          Be proficient in MS Offices application
